The Watercolor Garden

In this video, I am going to show you how to paint some very simple leaves using my 3-step painting method.

Even though these leaves are pretty basic it is important to understand the steps and techniques used. These are important foundational steps to learn and master in order to apply them to more complex and realistic subjects.

Learning Outcomes:

• Creating basic shapes using the tip and belly of the brush with varying pressure
• Create tonal variation using the "Dip Dab" technique
• Dry brushing on veins
• Create small graded washes and blend them out without covering up the first layers of your painting
